Jesse Parrott is an artist currently in the final year of his Master of Fine Arts degree in printmaking at California State University, Long Beach. He grew up in Cedar Falls, Iowa where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Northern Iowa. His work is driven by heavy research into process and material. It utilizes conventions and institutions of printmaking mediums to explore themes of modularity, fragmentation, and wholeness. He received scholarships from the John Baldessari Foundation and the Richard & Johanna Baker Memorial Fund, and his work has been recently selected for several professional juried print portfolios. He was also included in the MFA Biennial Group Exhibition in Brea, California in early 2018; as well as several other group exhibitions in Long Beach, California.
